Bob Hall Pier Report
I headed out to Bob Hall Pier
to meet up with R.Lopez. The day was beautiful and we
wished we went down the beach, but I had to stay within
phone range since we had an animal in rehab.
When I first got out there, I
decided to fish the front for bait. I ended up catching
three whiting and two keeper drum. I traded off one of
the drums for two pompano. I headed out to the end and
picked up a small ray.
R.Lopez was already fishing the
end and had caught a sharpnose shark and a bonnethead. I
rigged up and sent my rods out. While waiting for the
bigger stuff to go off, I fished for smaller fish. I
ended up catching a keeper Spanish mackerel and lost
another huge one. I also got a sand trout that we used
for bait and several bonnethead sharks that were
released.
No decent sharks caught. All
were small. We ended up with 13 sharks. 7 bonnethead
sharks, 5 sharpnose sharks, and one finetooth shark. |
